Yesterday evening, I went to cinema to see the 300 movie which is very popular. Many people said "It is a great movie and I must watch it." They were right, it was a great movie....Although it was great, I was disappointed.

Its topic is extremely silly. Only 300 soldiers fight against millions of soldiers... Moreover, there is not a good fight plan. They fight like ordinary fighters. In addition, I could not understand the race of opposite fighters. They seem like mixture of Arabic, Indians, Chinese and mythological creatures...At some scenes of movie, there exists political messages...They are very silly. The worst part is its end. This is the most cheapest death scene that I have seen...

After I wrote so much bad comments about the movie, I again recommend the movie because it is very popular and everybody talks about it...

Not a Studio

The spring break is coming to end. I had lots of plans to do, and the last thing that I would do was studying the lessons. I did not study the lessons, but I spent a lot of time by looking for a house.

In may, I am going to leave the dormitory...North Bergen seems ideal for me because it takes only ten minutes to reach the bus terminal in 42 Nd street. Moreover, the rents are cheaper than Manhattan. In addition, it has a gorgeous Manhattan view.

It was not easy to find an apartment for me because most of the homeowners asked lots of questions. Most of them asked my annual income and where I work...When I said ''I do not work, but I could pay annual income," they did not accept.

I achieved to rent a home, but it took four days. It has one large living room and two bed rooms. The kitchen and the bathroom are renewed. My homeowner is from Spain and very cute girl.

Thank God...

No More Study

I will take my first midterm tomorrow, and I have not started studying yet. I do not know why I do not want to study. Last Friday, I said myself that I would study on Saturday. On Saturday, I said “Forget about exam!” Now, I say “Study in last 1 hour before the exam”

Felling so relaxed and not caring about exam show that I became a part of New York. If I feel panic, I fell that I am in a strange position.

Tomorrow, exam may be a disaster or may be well. The only thing that I will do is waiting exam hour and see the result. I do not care because I think that these lessons are silly and not useful in daily life. Nobody will ask me if I know statistics. They will just look at me Resume and decide to work with me or not…

This is me. Nobody should experience my methods. Instead of experiencing such methods, you should study and graduate as soon as possible…

Ghost Rider

A few days ago, I met with friends and went to a restaurant. After we had dinner, we immediately decided to go to movie. Everybody in the group wanted to see Ghost Rider. When we reached the movie theatre, there were only fifteen minutes to the film. We bought tickets, and went into the theatre. It was so crowded that there were empty spaces only in the first row. The screen was huge, so sitting in the first row was the worst thing. We decided to sit on the stairs at the back of theatre. It was cool…

I think the movie was gorgeous. Flames, motorcycles, leather jackets, chains, skulls and a beautiful lady make the movie exciting. The scenes of the movie are really fascinating. I liked the flames behind the Harley Davidson and the skull in the flames. Many people may think that the topic of the movie is stupid. They are right, but the scenes and the rock music are worth to see it.

Nicolas Cage is a very good actor, and his performance in the movie is cool. However, he should not be chosen for this movie. I think Vin Diesel is the most convenient for this role. (Think about the XXX movie)

I enjoyed in the movie and recommend everybody to see it…Sitting on the stairs may be a good experience…

Slayer Concert

Last Wednesday night, I was drunk so much that I had stomachache on Thursday. I had classes all the day on Thursday, so I was too much tired on Thursday night. However, the hardest rock group Slayer was in New York. Although I watch them two times in Turkey, I wanted to see their New York performance. It was a hard decision for me to go or not to go the concert.

I suddenly decided to go the concert, and I wore convenient clothes. I had to pay $300 for ticket because there were only VIP tickets. The concert room was full of rock fanatics, and they all wore black clothes. Moreover, there were sculls on their T-shirts. These may be heard terrifying, but I don’t care about them. I care about the music.

When slayer was on scene, everybody was shouting. They were cool. While they were playing the music, they also shake their heads. The War Ensemble was their legendary song. They were the honor of Sweden.

Compared with the Istanbul performance, they were less mad here. It is normal because they come here more frequently. I was tired and paid too much money, but it was worth…

One Day at Mohegan Sun

Yesterday, I went to Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut with my friends. My goal was not only gambling, but also sightseeing. I heard that the buildings design reflects Indians culture… When you pay $25 to travel agency, you own bus tickets, free open buffet food and $20 casino coupon for roulette.

Foods were delicious, and restaurants internal design was nice. After we had launch, we started playing at machines. I realized that machines were not fair, so I did not continue… My friends insisted on playing…They were losing, but they wanted to continue. While they were playing on machines, I watched the people who play Black Jack and Poker. While you watch them, you try to predict who will win. Later, we decided to play roulette. I watched long time the plays and tried to calculate the minimum risk. I played on the least risky part (on the red spot), and win some money. I left the table after wining.

I earned 50 dollars, and my friends lost 20 and 100 dollars. We had a very good time. I recommend everybody to go there and play games, if you can control yourself. Never forget that nobody becomes rich in gambling…

Never Leave The Car

Last week, I was with my friend in his office. He invited me to the dinner, but he had to visit to dentist before going home. I did not want to spent time in dentist, so I said, “Give the keys of home. I should go and start preparing dinner before you come.” He gave me two keys, and one of them was his cars key. He said, “Go home by driving my car.”

I like using car. I was driving fast, because I missed using car. While I was driving, police stopped me. If police stops you, you leave the car and go near him in Turkey. This is accepted as a polite behavior. I behaved like in Turkey, and left the car. The police also left the car and directed his gun towards me. He announced, “Return the car and put your hands on steering-wheel.” I was shocked. I did not understand why he behaved me like that… I returned back and run back to car. I was in panic. I kick my head to steering-wheel, while I was entering the car.

When the police came near car, we started talking… I clarified that I was foreigner and did not know the rules. He advised, “Never leave the car when police stops you.” He did not fine me. This was a terrible experience. I hope nobody has such experience…

I will continue driving fast, but I will never leave the car again…

POOR MAN

Appearance is one of the most important factors for charming, but it always does not reflect the content. If you see a restaurant with the nice outside appearance, you may think that its foods are delicious, but it may be not.

Last year, one of my friend wanted help from me for her term project. We would design an electronic circuit, and we would show it to the professor. After designing and checking it, she put the circuit to a nice box. The shape of box was a red heart. It seems that something valuable existed in it. Nobody can predict that there was a electronic circuit in it.

She phoned me and said “The circuit was stolen”. I laughed her and thought that it was a bad joke, but it was real. She left the box in the car, and a thief stole it.

I think about the thief. He spent a lot of time for stealing the box. He had to break the lock of the car. He excited about the box. He most probably expected that there is a jewel inside the box. I wonder how he felt when he saw the circuit. I am sure that he broke and crushed the circuit. He is a really, absolutely and totally poor man.

An Intersting Architecture

I went to the Natural History Museum to see the Cosmic Collisions movie, because of my friend’s recommendation. She said that the movie was interesting and I would like it. However, she did not give me any information about the building.

I went to museum and bought a ticket. There was no seat number on the ticket, so I went theatre early and stood in front of the line. When I entered the theatre, I was surprised.

Its shape is not like a classic theatre. Its shape is like the upper half part of a sphere and the seat are near the wall as a circle. The ceiling is used as screen.

The architecture of Building impressed me. The movie was also interesting. It was about the cosmic collisions in the universe and how universe, solar system and world formed. It felt like watching a science fiction movie. The rest of museum was not interesting and was for interest of children.
